Position Summary

The Lead Medical Assistant (Lead MA) provides support to the Clinic Manager and RN Supervisor through oversight of day-to-day Medical Assistant (MA) workflow and operations. This includes being a resource to the MAs in supporting the collaborative ambulatory process.

Supports the provision of patient and family centered care to patients as delegated by provider or RN. Resource for preparing the clinic for daily function, welcoming patients and families and assisting with visit flow. Resource for MAs in effectively communicating patient/family information to other staff members.


* License / Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
* BLS/CPR certification
* High school diploma or GED
* Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assistant training program or equivalent.
* Four years of related experience.
* Computer experience including word processing and Windows applications.
* Ability to work effectively under stress and efficiently handle daily fluctuations in patient volume.
* Ability to work effectively and professionally with patients, co-workers and physicians.
* Working knowledge of computers and software applications.
* Ability to accurately document information in the electronic medical record.
