Responsibilities
OVERVIEW:

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Operations Manager, the Master Supply Planner is accountable for the establishment and management of the Capacity and Inventory Supply plan, which meets company Demand across all regions while controlling excessive costs for assigned product technologies. The creation of this Supply plan on assigned flavor types within his/her portfolio balances the competing needs of customer service levels, network efficiencies and execution of an item level inventory management strategy that optimizes inventory level targets, costs, plant efficiencies, and capacities through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This role takes a leadership position in identifying key actions across plant production, warehouse inventory and item level fulfillment strategies that capitalize on opportunities and/or mitigate risk to the overall business. It is important to follow the standard processes and leverage technology to positively impact results. The Master Supply Planner interacts and collaborates with many key function areas including:
Production Planning - to align on the execution of the overall supply plan
Demand Integration - to incorporate demand and demand change into the supply plan
General Management Group - to manage and highlight business risk in plan execution
Sales, Strategy and Trade - to understand selling strategy and impacts to item level inventory plans
Operations Leadership - to assure the production plan and modifications are compatible with plant efficiencies
Finance - to incorporate optimal network into supply plans and reduce/eliminate excess inventory risks
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Create and manage a timely and accurate Supply Plan that delivers the lowest possible delivered costs and optimized inventory plan for assigned technologies.
Escalate/Report opportunities and risks to company leadership through the IBP process
Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Plant Production Planning, Demand Integration and General Management Group to develop and present a viable master supply plan for assigned product technology groups that reconciles the demand plan against available capacity; communicate supply plan impacts
Present and summarize Supply plan details. Communicate causes and impacts of the Supply plan
Execute network through COSMOS PLM system for assigned product technologies and report on costs and items that are not optimal
Assess total system inventory position by SKU and determine best economic solution for meeting customer orders through inventory deployment, inventory transfers or production requirements
Partner with Supply Chain Coordinators for weekly reconciliation of supply plan to maintain Inventory Days of Forward coverage metrics. Identify product shortfalls and communicate to key stakeholders.
Partner with Supply Chain Coordinators to manage appropriate DRP system parameters to meet inventory targets through anticipating total network inventory position; impact of sales promotional/seasonal volume projections and product life cycle
Partner with Supply Chain Coordinators to evaluate short lead sales opportunities within DRP horizon window for ability to execute through available capacity and inventories.
Follow escalation procedures to improve service, quality of work and reduce costs through process or execution improvements and establish approval for change
Provide recommendations to improve service, quality of work, and reduce costs through process or execution improvements. Document, communicate and follow-up on action plans
Provide cross-functional leadership and expertise within the assigned production lines and flavor types
Track and report Key Performance Indicators on significant supply variances, perform root cause analysis and make the appropriate revisions within the Supply plan
Act as subject matter expert, super user, training developer or trainer as assigned

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field is required
Professional certification from APICS is desirable
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Would prefer a minimum of 5 years of combined related experience operating in areas of master supply planning, inventory control, production scheduling, demand management, capacity management, materials management, or distribution resource planning; with preference in food processing/packaging
Experience within Logility applicate suite is desirable
Integrated planning systems training like ERP/DRP/MPS/MRP/CRP is required
Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
Ability to think critically and use analytical skills to draw conclusions from known inputs and develop recommendations
Must be able to effectively interact, collaborate and communicate across multiple functions in the organization
Strong Excel skills
