Monitoring Tools Developer Job Locations

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for their Monitoring Tools Developer position on the Postal ETS program in Eagan, MN. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. This person will have strong technical engineering and scripting knowledge in a Linux and Windows environment. They will be an expert in leading the development and engineering of monitoring within the USPS enterprise.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end monitoring solutions for enterprise operating system platforms and applications. Identify strategic opportunities for integration of monitoring infrastructure with other systems management solutions (hardware, storage, network and other third-party element managers) and provide leadership in the engineering and implementation of those integrations. Engineer and support the integration of enterprise level monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds, EverBridge, and Splunk. Develop performance and availability reports for engineering staff and management. Resolve problems within the monitoring infrastructure. Develop, maintain, and distribute written process documents for the daily management of ESM tools. Manage capacity of ESM toolsets to consider historical trends and anticipated growth to ensure adequate resources are continuously available. Develop and implement monitoring and event management methodologies that aid in proactive problem detection.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years related work experience or Master's degree with 6-8 years related work experience or HS diploma/equivalent with 12+ years related work experience. U.S. Citizenship; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years. Minimum 5 years' experience directly related to architecting or engineering of monitoring solutions for use within a large enterprise. Solid knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems. Must be equallyies such as Unix Shell Script, PowerShell, REST, PERL, C#, .NET, and Python. comfortable working in GUI and CLI environments. Hands-on experience developing various integrations using scripting technolog Experience using monitoring tools in any type of target environment (application, hardware, network, operating system, or application) and responding to system alerts. Thorough understanding of SNMP and networking. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years of proven Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) experience with Splunk. Experience developing business and IT KPI's for monitoring systems and applications. Experience monitoring solutions in cross-platform (Windows/Linux) implementations. A Subject Matter Expert for the following monitoring tools: SolarWinds WPM, Zabbix, AppDynamics, EverBridge ect Local to the Eagan, MN area. This position is onsite and does not allow for telecommute or relocation expenses. Active USPS security clearance.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
