Job Description:
The Public Health Program and Social Justice and Social Change Department at Hamline University invite applications for a one-year Visiting Faculty position with an open area of specialization to teach required and elective courses in both programs beginning Fall 2023. Successful applicants will have the skills to teach undergraduate courses with a transdisciplinary approach, including introduction to sociology, introduction to social justice, and introduction to public health- along with upper-level electives in their area of expertise.

Our faculty at Hamline are interdisciplinary scholars from Anthropology, Biology, Global Studies, Psychology, and Sociology. We are dedicated teacher-scholars who emphasize collaborative research, internships, community engaged learning, social justice and health equity, as well as high impact educational experiences incorporated directly into the curriculum.

Visiting faculty teach seven courses per academic year, and candidates must be ABD or have completed a PhD in a related field by the time of appointment.
