Required Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years’ experience in plant/manufacturing management, personnel management, preventative maintenance, or project management
Experience in plastics processing, re-cycling machinery and equipment preferred but not required
Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, personnel management and team building skills
Good planning, organizational and follow-up skills
Competent in problem assessment, problem solving and decision making
Effective communication, written, verbal, and presentation skills at all levels
Experience in Project Management, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Analytical ability, root cause, incident investigation
Ability to improve efficiencies in processes, people, plant, and equipment
Competent in problem assessment, problem solving and decision making
Positive attitude and show responsibility towards the position and the team
Ability to work under pressure

Job Description:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the technical management, supervision, and control of production processes in their area of responsibility.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and re-negotiate all production schedules
Oversee all production processes
Management of WIP in area
Assess projects and resource requirements
Responsible to advise and organize relevant training sessions
Write, update, train, and implement SOP’s
Ensure SOPs and work instructions are being followed
Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to, and all other regulatory requirements
Give instructions to staff, monitor, and evaluate performance and provide feedback
Monitor attendance and time keeping; keep daily records (liaise with HR Manager to authorize leave applications)
Provide disciplinary guidance in accordance with procedure and up to appropriate level
Set targets and coordinate team and individual activities to reach targets
Ensure that Housekeeping in areas of responsibility is being maintained at high levels at all times
Ensure all quality standards are met in area of responsibility
Implementation of Quality Management Systems in area of responsibility
