Required Skills: | Electronic/electrical training or background; solid communication and basic math skills; mechanical/troubleshooting aptitude; good driving record; ability to repeatedly lift 50 pound test weights/tool boxes; soldering skills sufficient to build connectors; customer service experience; comfortable working with little supervision; documenting details, reading and utilizing information provided in equipment manuals; ability to pass (company-paid) DOT health screen for small commercial vehicle driving (10-15000 GVW, NOT CDL driver.) Color-blind individuals may not be able to perform essential functions of the job. |
Preferred Skills: | Ideal applicants will have 2-5 years of recent experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems. Formal electronics training, relevant military training or field service experience repairing electronic equipment. Knowledge of greater-Twin Cities geography/ability to use maps/GPS desired. Scale experience is not required/will train the right person. Minimal overtime, rare overnight. Looking for confident individual with a can-do attitude who enjoys learning and solving problems for customers. |

The Field Service Technician position involves the testing, calibration and repair of industrial, commercial/retail and personal-use weighing equipment and peripherals, and installation of new scale systems, both electronic and mechanical. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting. Work is performed both in-shop and at customer facilities thought Twin Cities and greater MN. Work truck, tools, uniforms provided.
