| Required Skills: | (a) Considerable knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in maintenance, construction and repair activities; knowledge of occupational hazards and safe working practices; knowledge of heavy equipment, including the adaptation and specialized uses to which equipment can be put in meeting emergency or other unusual conditions.
(b) Skill in operation of all of the listed tools and equipment.
(c) Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time; ability to work safely; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to react promptly and effectively in emergency situations; ability to function in a team-based environment, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid State Class A or B motor vehicle operator’s license (CDL); may be required to possess liquid tanker or other endorsement as necessary. |
