REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors degree PLUS six years or more years of related work experience that includes demonstrated proficient leadership experience
o Degree in mechanical engineering preferred
OR
• Mechanical technical degree PLUS eight years or more years of related work experience that includes demonstrated proficient leadership experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid driver's license required
• High degree of communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and various internal departments.

Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides leadership, direction, and supervision of generation maintenance department to optimize unit reliability and availability.
• Works in concert with craft leads and maintenance planning group to prioritize, plan, schedule and direct maintenance activities.
• Develops work plan for scheduled and unscheduled unit outages with operations department.
• Responsible for assuring compliance with safety, environmental, insurance and other maintenance related requirements.
• Develops and implements procedures to be utilized by craft workers and contractors to safely perform maintenance duties.
• Works closely with manager and other plant departments on production, O&M and capital budget development, human resource issues, and strategic business plan development.
• Has the authority and is responsible for directing the work of staff.
• Provides input and is directly involved in any decisions regarding hiring/firing and disciplinary actions.
