**Blue Earth Area Schools is looking to fill a B-2-1 Evening Custodian!** This position is the shift of 2:00pm to 11:00pm!
Job Summary: Under general supervision, maintains and cleans building and grounds to provide a safe and clean environment for students, employees, and the public.
Hours: 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Wage: Will discuss at your interview!
Job Duties:
• Vacuum carpeted areas and dump trash in assigned area.
• Keep floors, windows, halls, restrooms, offices and classrooms clean.
• Be available to assist in setting up for events and for clean up of activites.
• Make any necessary minor maintenance repairs in and outside of your area.
• Assist staff and students as needed.
• Maintenance of supply rooms is to be kept neat and orderly.
• Retire flag at end of every school day - 5:00pm
A boiler license is preferred but not necessary.
Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry knowledge.
Skills in operating various power tools, equipment, fixing and repairing facilities and school items, communicate sufficiently to receive or convey information and instructions in order to perform essential duties.
Physical Requirements:
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, hearing, seeing and repetitive motion.
Heavy work includes lifting up to 100lbs.
