Position: Case Packer Operator - Day Shift
Location: Norwood, MN

Job Summary: Bongards is looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and eager individual to join our team as a case packer operator. This is a fast-paced position operating automated packaging machines. The shift is from 5 am to 5 pm, working on a 2-2-3 rotation. In a two-week period, the first week you would work Monday and Tuesday, be off Wednesday and Thursday, then work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In the second week, you would be off on Monday and Tuesday, work on Wednesday and Thursday, then you would be off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, then the rotation starts over. Job Duties: Must be able to learn the operation of various packaging and labeling equipment. Keep machine full of cases, pads, and glue. Check product codes on cases and packages for accuracy. Make sure machines are in good working order. Contact maintenance when problems occur so repairs can be made. Able to work in a safe and proficient manner. Perform sanitation duties as assigned by the lead person or supervisor. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor or lead. Other Requirements: Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions. Must demonstrate a commitment to Safety, GMP's, and all other company policies. Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement. Physical Capabilities: Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs. Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds frequently. Capable of spending most of your workday standing. Able to work at a steady and swift pace.
