Job Description

Partner with Competitive Intelligence to understand market dynamics and trends influencing referrals

Work with Payer Analytics understanding payer landscape and those impacts on referrals and revenue

Understanding radiation commercial case rates, radiation referrals, and the Radiation Oncology Alternative Payment Model (RO-APM)

Partner Mwith Business Development, Patient Growth, and Practice Leadership to drive growth to The Network

Model generation of key drivers for annual & strategic planning (e.g., market trends & policy changes)

Driving execution of core analytics and developing new analytics to answer emerging questions

Delivering presentations to network customers in medium to large groups on strategic matters

Maintaining and delivering quarterly updates on tracked industry statistics

Sourcing, manipulating, and owning core data sets needed to support analysis

Refining data provided to practices

Understanding landscape of available data/sources

Ensuring data alignment with internal systems (e.g., practice data, Salesforce)

The Healthcare Market Analyst will develop strong relationships and influence a wide group of stakeholders, often with different priorities; requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in multifaceted situations.

The Healthcare Market Analyst will communicate across the organization and collaborate with executives/business leaders on matters concerning, but not limited to, provider referral development, emerging markets, and payer/provider relationships.

Executive interactions will involve developing analyses to answer strategic questions and influencing/persuading Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Extract key internal and external data sets to answer strategic business questions related to The US Oncology Network

Translate business questions using analytics framework determining the appropriate analytics plan and stated recommendations from analysis

Comprehend local market dynamics to create actionable insights for practices across The Network

Gain expertise around radiation referrals, commercial case rates, and RO-APM to help generate insights from available data

Partner with and understanding of payer analytics

Perform QA checks on various data sets utilized by the team

Present findings and/or recommendations of requested analysis to appropriate stakeholders

Identify areas where analyses can be scaled to benefit all practices in The US Oncology Network

Assess suitability of one-off presentation of an Analysis or Insight versus development of reusable, dynamic tools such as dashboards; execute on the correct approach

Understand logic behind standard reporting with ability to recreate, modify, and implement new reporting as required

Partner with key stakeholders regarding strategic priorities

Understand impact of requested analyses to The US Oncology Network

Execute on stakeholder requests via intake process that outlines importance and strategic value

Successful delivery on competing projects during Sprint(s)

Establish realistic deadlines for delivering on requested analyses

Partner with internal team members to deliver on projects as needed

Leading projects and mentoring other team members in the domain

Education/Training

4-year degree or equivalent experience in Business, Clinical, Engineering, or healthcare related field

Business Experience

4+ years relevant experience developing analytics and influencing decision making

Healthcare experience preferred

Proven ability to effectively prioritize competing projects

Highly collaborative individual capable of navigating a matrixed environment

Proactively and independently learns and utilizes new technology, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements. Maintains current knowledge of industry technology trends.

Experience working in an agile and virtual team-based environment

Experience with fast-paced, cross-functional, large-scale initiatives with high degrees of complexity

Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic high-growth environment with aggressive timelines

Flexible positive attitude: Hungry to solve problems and grow within the organization

Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

Python or similar scripting exposure required

SQL exposure and relational database knowledge required

Microsoft Office Suite experience including advanced Excel and PowerPoint required

Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization experience preferred

Able to communicate (written, presentational, & verbally) key findings from data in a concise & actionable manner

Working Conditions:

Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) - Remote, Work from Home with up to 15% domestic travel
