Job Description:
What we're looking for in you
Required:
Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program
Licensed as a massage therapist in the state of WI, or willing to obtain licensure within 30 days of hire
Preferred:
2 or 4 year degree (post high schooleducation) preferred
1+ year(s) experience providing massage therapy in a hospital, clinical or hospice setting preferred
Experience using EPIC preferred
Skills you bring as a Massage Therapist
Required:
Ability to maintain confidentiality ofpatient information
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Basic computer knowledge
Professional interaction with staff, physicians, and patients/families
Purpose of the Massage Therapist role
As a massage therapist, you will:
Travel to patients' place of residence to perform in-home massagetherapy services for terminally ill patients in a professional andcompassionate manner utilizing massage therapy techniques
Document each massage session in Epic
Perform assessment of patient to determine appropriatenessfor massage intervention and provide massage as indicated
Assess patients' response to treatment
Utilize massage techniques to improve the patient'soverall levels of pain, anxiety and/or nausea, and functional ability, perthe patient's goal for treatment
Provide education to other health care team members on howmassage may enhance patients' plan of care
Provide massage for staff in addition to patients
Receive referrals and maintain/coordinate your ownschedule
