The SEO Search Insights Strategist will be a deep subject matter expert on everything SEO, Google, algo updates, search trends, search industry best practices. The unique candidate will be able to diagnose and pinpoint issues in all areas of website health and use their deep understanding of search to partner with other SEO team members to develop, manage and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across Deluxe properties. This position will ensure the whole team is up to speed on the very latest bleeding-edge industry trends to improve accessibility, visibility, rank, and relevance in search engines.
Job Responsibilities:
Continuously research industry trends to understand how SEO is impacted by site structure, pages and platform enhancements and provide recommendations to optimize
Collaborate with business stakeholders, user experience, IT, marketing and creative teams to ensure that all sites are built/optimized utilizing current SEO best practices for site architecture, content and linking strategies
Accountable for leading/conducting technical Website audits, information architecture optimization, external and internal linking analysis as they relate to SEO
Identify gaps and opportunities making recommendations and tracking improvements to organic rankings and traffic on all Deluxe web properties
Define tactics, set schedules, and manage budgets to ensure timely delivery of all programs
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelors and 5 years or HS/GED and 9 years
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google adwords
Proficient with web and SEO analytics applications (BrightEdge, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMRush, Spyfu, etc.).
Experience with web analytics applications and Webmaster tools
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript
Previous experience as an SEO strategist in a matrixed organization and/or strategist in an agency environment in client facing role.
Experience with leading search engine ranking, traffic and analysis software
Experience managing SEO for multiple, large web properties
Experience in SEO as it relates to site architecture, content marketing, linking, taxonomy
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Analytics or Statistics
Experience: 10 years in SEO or Analytics
Google Analytics certified
Google Adwords Certified
Superior knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithms, best practices, trends and industry developments
Previous experience as an SEO strategist in a matrixed organization and/or strategist in an agency environment in client facing role.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; must have a data-driven decision-making orientation
Excellent organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to communicate with and present to all levels of the organization, including executives
Must be passionate about digital and interactive marketing strategies and integrating marketing
Must be motivated, a self-starter, and a perpetual learner
