Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) - Transportation

LHB has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Civil (EIT) Engineer-in-Training!

We are seeking someone that has a passion for Transportation Engineering, as you will play an integral role in design development on a variety of different project types. You will work with a dedicated, collaborative, and experienced team to deliver successful projects for our clients.

Position Summary:

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

Project planning and design
Preparation of project plans and specifications

Interact with clients, public, and agencies as needed

Prepare written reports and project documents

Ensure LHB QA/QC processes are followed

Construction administration and oversight of field inspection tasks

Assist project engineers/managers

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program (May 2021 graduates will be considered)

0-2 years' experience preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction documents (Internships Included)

Commitment to obtain Engineer-In-Training Certification within 6 months of start

Application materials must demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office (including word and excel) and CAD Software

LHB does not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Preferred Qualifications:

0-3 years' experience in roadway and transportation designgeneral public works or civil infrastructure projects

Engineer-In-Training Certification

Design Experience with MicroStation and/or Autodesk Civil 3D

Desire to continue in or grow into a Design Lead or Project Management role and obtain Professional Engineer licensure

Strong written and verbal communication skills
