HAND POLISHER 1

Location: Cold Spring, MN Department: MonuWest Supervisor: John Reitmeier Grade: 500
Primary Duties:
Interprets shop tickets to make sure the stone meets specifications
Applies blunts and rounds on stone using an 8 lb. angle grinder to shape the edge of the stone
Polishes blunts and rounds and flat areas with a 12 lb. buffer
Applies acquired knowledge of unique stone characteristics and associated process requirements to achieve a proper polish
Drills holes in stone as needed with a 30 lb. hammer drill
Cleans and inspects stone when finished to ensure it’s done according to the shop ticket
Performs 5S duties as needed within their work area
Requirements:
Good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to read a standard and a metric tape measure
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Must have sustained physical endurance
Lifts 50 lbs. periodically
Holds on to polish machines and grinders for most of shift
Excellent memory with attention to detail
Status:
This is a full time hourly position. Hours are Mon. – Thurs. 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, overtime as needed.
