POSITION SUMMARY:



The Distribution Supervisor will coordinate and supervise distribution staff of 20-25 employees at the Gaylord Distribution Center. Areas of responsibilities include hiring, training, and directing all employees, ensuring that all products are distributed/received to company and customer specifications.



Schedule: Night shift 6pm-6am



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




This position always has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value.


Supervises employees within the parameters of the company policies relating to work rules, absenteeism, discipline, payroll, hiring, performance reviews and terminations, while maintaining proper documentation.


Responsible for daily employee scheduling, time off, training on safety, emergency evacuations, PPE, Hazcom, etc.


Review KPI performance, and operating reports.


Resolves operational, warehousing and maintenance problems to ensure minimal cost impact and prevent operational delays and ensures proper and necessary equipment is on hand.


Adhere to safe work practices and OSHA regulations, follow and monitors GMP programs to maintain company and USDA requirements


Manages capital projects and participates in Organizational Teams and Committees


Provides a safe working environment.


Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.


Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.


Perform other duties as assigned.









EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:




Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.









PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:




Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.


Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.


Must have strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasks.


Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when required


Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.


Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations.


Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.


Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.


Computer skills required, including MS Excel and Word, SAP experience preferred
