Corporate and Business Development Manager
Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Corporate and Business Development to join our growing Interventional Urology business. You will be a key member of the team responsible for identifying, assessing, proposing and coordinating the execution of inorganic growth opportunities on behalf of the Interventional Urology (IU) business. This is a position of high visibility and strategic importance. You will collaborate with the Minneapolis and Denmark Corporate and Business Development teams to scan and track market opportunities, establish critical relationships, educate IU and corporate leadership, and bring forward priority opportunities that align with IU's growth objectives. As the business pursues an ambitious global growth strategy, you will play a central role in ensuring that promising technologies, partners, and businesses are visible to the IU business and incorporated into our inorganic pipeline. This position is based at IU headquarters in Minneapolis, MN but global in scope.
Major Areas of Accountability
Support the pursuit of global inorganic growth opportunities that are aligned with the IU growth strategy
Partner with the Strategic Marketing function, to prepare market taxonomy and/or market space gap analysis and identify specific potential targets for acquisition, partnership or otherwise
Profile, track, contact and engage prospective targets
Prepare discussion, communication and internal approval materials as needed in support of potential opportunities
Maintain effective relationships, in partnership with IU leadership, with investment bankers and other M&A-related consultants
Formulate recommendations on acquisition structure and financial analysis including valuation and modeling
Assemble and lead commercial due diligence team to evaluate opportunity and target, translate findings into forecast, and identify integration planning implications
Partner with Corporate Strategy and BD in Denmark to align, educate and ensure support where required
Support the planning and execution of integrations, where appropriate
Conform with and all local Compliance Standards
Conform with Coloplast Q/EHS Policy

Essential Qualifications
Highly effective professional within the medical device industry with 4+ years experience in progressively expanding corporate development, business development or strategy roles.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a dynamic environment
At least 2 years in an investment banking or consulting environment is strongly preferred
BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Math or Statistics; MBA or relevant Masters-level degree preferred
Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 30%
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong strategic, financial and business acumen, relationship building skills, and communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high degree of personal integrity, compassion and savvy to foster a collaborative and partnership-based approach to achieve company initiatives, with both internal business partners, as well as, external companies.
Experience in a variety of BD structures and transaction types, including M&A, venture and minority investments, strategic alliances, and partnerships
Skilled project management in terms of both leading the thought content and managing the process
Actively participate in negotiation process in collaboration with senior leadership
Ability to build clear and compelling PowerPoint presentations and strong proficiency in Excel
Knowledge of the medical device innovation process from initial idea to regulatory approvals, production, launch and product life cycle, ideally with Class II and III devices
Knowledge of related areas within marketing, R&D, clinical, quality and operations
Ability to effectively manage complex internal and external stakeholders, including Corporate BD, internal and external Legal / Investment Banking partners, and consultants
Experience working effectively across cultures and countries, in a global, cross-functional environment
