Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CPA with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Significant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including working with Production and Supply Chain.
Strong attention to detail and significant experience in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis and to project anticipated results.
Experience with ERP system and advanced MS Office Skills, Advanced EXCEL user, Pivot table, VLOOKLUP, etc.
Preferred Skills:
Significant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including working directly with Production and Supply chain.
Strong attention to detail and significant experience in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analyses and to project anticipated results.
Experience with an ERP system and advanced MS Office Skills; Advanced EXCEL user, Pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc.
 
Job Description:
The Accounting Manager is a key business leader responsible for Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, cost control, asset management and business decision support. The position will collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing and R&D Teams to ensure that the company meets or exceeds its financial commitments.

Oversee monthly accounting close process and ensure statements correctly reflect the company’s financial position in accordance with US GAAP.
Review financial results and key financial metrics with management. Report on profitability by product and customer.
Lead annual planning and monthly financial forecasts.
Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, sub-assemblies, work-in-process, and finished goods. Ensure proper inventory valuation and assist in inventory cycle counts to maintain system accuracy.
Lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Coordinate weekly inventory requirements with the sales team, suppliers, and production team.
Track R&D Project Costs in Rogers, MN and Horace, ND facilities. Provide R&D project budget vs actual spending analysis.
Assist with generation of Project Cost estimates for R&D projects.
Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and routine cash management. Prepare cash flow report, including forecasted cash flow trends.
Manage payroll process with RunPayroll.
Coordinate with external CPA firm for quarterly and annual tax reporting, including R&D tax credits. Assist with various tax and compliance tasks such as review of W9 status for all vendors and 1099 preparation.
Work in special projects as required.
Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required.
