Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services or related field is required. Master's preferred. Must have a minimum of five years related program management experience, as well as proven financial management and program development skills. Knowledge of and/or ability to become proficient in an electronic health records system.

· Skill in program development, research and evaluation.
· Skill in negotiation, conflict management and community relations.
· Knowledge of best practices.

Salary: $73,000 - $82,000
This is a full time position with some weekend and evening hours.
Duties
The Program Director ECDS is responsible for overall leadership in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of all program components including financial management; staff selection & management, program development, evaluation and operational systems. This role works collaboratively with WP leadership and programs in effort to fulfill the mission and serve the whole family. The incumbent will demonstrate business acumen and knowledge of public policy as it pertains to early childhood education.
Develop and maintain a diverse workforce. Manage in ways that maximize the potential of all workers by assuring sensitive and respectful treatment by and toward all employees. Ensure that services are delivered with cultural sensitivity and competence. Develop the cultural competence of all employees, and create and maintain a work climate which is inclusive and bias free.
Essential Job Functions:
Strategy Management – Develop and implement the vision and strategy for services; plan and organize work relevant to core and strategic priorities. (10%)
1. Develop and communicate a clear, values-infused purpose and strategic direction for the program, in collaboration with the key internal and external stakeholders and program leadership.
2. Provide vision, motivation and leadership to all employees, families, and volunteers in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders and program leadership.
Operations Management - Delegate and execute work; develop and implement infrastructures and systems that support service delivery; manage and maintain regulatory and best practice standards; evaluate outcomes and use data to inform decision making. (40%)
1. Engaging best practices and overseeing quality of programming and taking leadership on new efforts to expand or improving programming. Ensure that program standards are established and measured, and use these measures to design and improve program services.
2. Empower and evaluate professional employees, using coaching and mentoring techniques; encourage and support developmental opportunities in keeping with industry identified best practices and WP Culture work.
3. Direct and monitor program operations to ensure that systems are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as Foundation standards and policies.
4. Serve as mandatory reporter to Child and Adult Protection regarding issues of neglect and abuse.
Financial Management – Manage a financial plan, strategy or budget to ensure appropriate use of financial resources. (20%)
1. Provide financial management, following overall financial plan established by Vice President of Wilder Programs, to facilitate program stability, flexibility and optimum service outcomes.
2. Monitor budgets to ensure that programs operate in a cost efficient manner.
Talent Management - Recruit, develop and manage employees, volunteers or interns in ways that engage their talent and support effectiveness. (20%)
1. Develop and implement a management structure and practices which support staff in accomplishment of program goals and delivery of effective services.
2. Provide leadership in the recruitment, selection, development and evaluation of program staff.
3. Promote consistent exchange of information in all directions.
4. Promote training that meets team and individual needs.
Stakeholder Management - Develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and partnerships. (10%)
1. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external service communities, as well as funders, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
2. Use knowledge to inform the legislative policy agenda for the Foundation.
