Job Title: Copy Editor - Associate
Duration: 3/23/20 to 3/22/21
Hours: M-F 8.00 am – 4.30 pm

Our client is a Fortune 500 leader in financial advising that has helped millions of clients – individuals, business and institutional – invest towards their financial goals and dreams.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- The copy editor is responsible for reviewing content for comprehension, grammar, style, brand, and basic design elements, and for validating the accuracy and completeness of changes and content to all documentation produced by the department.
- The copy editor also serves as the resource and disseminator of information related to editorial brand standards and department and enterprise changes.
- Provide thorough, accurate and timely review and quality control of marketing materials, making copy recommendations and fact checking as needed.
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Work with marketing manager, suggesting editorial improvement when appropriate and raising concerns when items veer from company tone.
- Give minor design recommendation and check design consistency.
- Collaborate with designers, marketing managers, compliance, product and production to create timely and professional marketing documents.

Additional Job Details:
- 1-3 years of demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience with editorial processes, basic research tools and AP style.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint.

Proven experience in the following areas:
- Outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Applying consistent style and brand standards across communications.
- Proven ability to build relationships and partner within the team and across the organization o Very strong attention to detail o Independent self-starter with ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment Preferred.
- Understanding of/experience with financial services and the financial markets.
- Content management system (CMS) experience.
- Project management experience
