| Job Description: |
Westlund Distributing is seeking a Purchasing / Marketing Associate to assist in our marketing of product lines to the cabinet-making and wood-working industries. Westlund provides cabinet shops “Everything but the Wood.” It was established in 1987 and is currently located in our 90,000 sq ft facility in Monticello MN. Individual chosen will work with marketing and sales team in the formation and implementation of merchandising strategies and plans for product lines assigned to them; assist in procuring and adjusting inventory to meet stated plans and goals; for negotiating and contracting with vendors; and for identifying and reducing obsolete merchandise inventory. Other key responsibilities include setting prices and margins for products based on the company’s developed strategies; creating and enforcing contracts with customers; product "seating" as far as new vendors and products are introduced. Individual must be a team player.
