Education Requirements: Reading, writing and math skills normally acquired through the completion of high school or GED. Valid Commercial Driver’s License a plus.

Job Description:
This person will Handle, move and store inventory items, tools and supplies, between receiving and shipping docks in warehouse, and warehouse racking and shelving. Load and unload trucks and shipping containers. May weigh, count and mark items as directed. Maintain inventory levels within the warehouse. When necessary, operate forklift to
transport loads in warehouse. Use electric hand jack and forklift trucks to transport materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist warehouse with compiling job start up items, assembling materials for shipment and sending items to the jobsite. Assist warehouse with receiving items from jobsites (unloading trailers, conducting physical inventory count of returned items and recording returned items).
2. Track, organize, and report materials located in the yard, and warehouse areas.
3. Use bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices to track product as it is moved.
4. Receive all unit numbered items and inventory items to the warehouse as they leave or arrive at the yard.
5. Deliver and/or pick up parts and materials for Avon and jobsites as requested, which may include loading and unloading the vehicle.
6. Assist with daily and yearly physical inventory counts.
7. Assist with the stocking of tool vans.
8. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of shipping and receiving and inventory activities.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials.
• Ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions, such as bill of materials and shipping documents.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to read shipping documents.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 65lbs.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
