Mental Health Practitioner: Registered Nurse (RN):
Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Part-Time Mental Health Practitioner: Registered Nurse (RN) in our Northway Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) program. The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct medical and health care services to recipients who are experiencing significant difficulty with daily life activities as a result of a serious mental illness in a comprehensive 24-hour service. This position functions as a member of the IRTS treatment team and will include mental health practitioner tasks. The Duties may include but are not limited to:
Provide medically necessary rehabilitation services and adult rehabilitative mental health services
Perform assessments and ongoing monitoring of health and medical needs of recipients as per directed by the designated RN. All services will incorporate care for individuals through nursing standards recognized by the board of nursing at the direction of an RN or licensed health care provider
Provide referrals and coordination with community providers to help the recipients be successful in the community
This position is on-call with a requirement to work a minimum of two shifts per month. Most shifts would be evenings and/or weekends in addition to coverage for our Full-Time RN as needed.
Qualifications
Licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse shall meet the qualifications defined in subdivision 17 or Minnesota Statute 256B.0623 subdivision 5
Experience and training in behavioral learning techniques, rehabilitation theory and practice
Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Maintains First Aid and CPR certification.
