Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Evenings, Every Other Weekend:
Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Detox Program. The nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating nursing care for detox clients within a family driven, trauma informed framework. The Duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform assessments of the client's health, risk of self-harm, monitoring for safe detoxification and monitoring for withdrawal symptoms; take vital signs including Oximeter.
Admit, transfer, discharge and coordinate the treatment plan of clients.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the consulting physician.
Develop care plans and individual abuse prevention plans for clients.
This position would work every other weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 2:30pm to 10:30pm. Position would consider newly graduated nurses.
CMMHC just adjusted and increased our starting wage for the LPN position due to market research. Experience will be considered and wage will be adjusted accordingly.
Qualifications
2-year nursing degree from an accredited professional nursing program or certificate of completion from a 12-month accredited practical nursing program;
Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota without encumbrance
2 years' nursing experience preferred
DHS Requirements of 2 years freedom from chemical use problems and signed attestation statement
Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
CPR and First Aid Certification
